Madhu-Sneha teamed in ‘Devi’

It is a late decision for Madhu Bangarappa to follow the steps of his elder brother Kumar Bangarappa and brother-in-law, century hero Shivarajakumar.

Coming late to silver screen Madhu Bangarappa is in the latest style in this ‘Devi’ Kannada film under the banner of his mother Smt Shakunthala Bangarappa.

Madhu Bangarappa who owns the Akash Audio in Seshadripuram and recording studio on the outskirts of Bangalore is the son of former chief minister S Bangarappa produced a few films in the past. For launching him he is back to production after ‘Kallarali Hoovagi’ the well made film by director TS Nagabharana.

Madhu Bangarappa always cheerful, active in his professional work disciplined in his moves is teamed with talented and beautiful Sneha Ullal who has Karnataka connections.

Madhu Bangarappa plays the role of an ordinary boy from slum locality. He is Deviprsad. It is cut short to title the film as ‘Devi’. Ishwar Balegundi is Ishwar from this film. The very beautiful Sneha Ullal is the heroine. Ravi Kale the storm on silver screen, the emotional best of Lakshmi, the vigor of Charanraj are all part of this film of Madhu Bangarappa. He is back not only as producer after ‘Kallarali Hoovagi’ that bagged the President medal but is all set to give a striking performance in the title role.

The cynosure of the evening after Madhu Bangarappa was Sneha Ullal who was born in Dakshin Kannada but brought up in Dubai. For a long time I was waiting to take up a Kannada film. Now my heart says I have to do this film. I believe in what my heart asks me to follow said the charmer.

Veteran actress Lakshmi, Ravi Kaale, Charanraj, Mumaith Khan and Ahuthi Prasad who is known today in Telugu films are also in the cast. The mellifluous music director V Sridhar is scoring music for the six songs. One of the songs on mother has already moved Madhu Bangarappa. This will be a musical film and lyrics are penned by Yogaraj Bhat, Jayanth Kaikini, Kaviraj and the hero introduction song by Upendra.

Ishwar Balegundi is just Ishwar in this film. He is back after five years to direction. The shooting is in Mysore, Honnavar, Jogfalls and Gagana Chukki surroundings and not going out from Karnataka.
